Studio City, California... yes, the name of this part of the San Fernando Valley says it all. Home to movie stars and the CBS Radford Studios (once MTM Studios), Studio City is full of great restaurants, mainly along Ventura Boulevard. And although you might not have access to the back lot at CBS, where I've officiated weddings for crew members of some well known TV shows, there are some great wedding venues available to you.

This hotel has a long history of celebrity from Clark Gable and Spencer Tracey to Katherine Hepburn to more recent movie and TV stars. Also, shows such as "Desparate Housewives" and many others have used various areas of the hotel as filming locations from time to time. The Sportsmen's Lodge Hotel is a favored hideaway for those in the entertainment industry and a place to call home while on the road. I've officiated countless weddings here over the years and it is on my recommended list for weddings and receptions in this area.

The Bistro Garden

Serving European French Continental cuisine, this is a unique, specialty restaurant where I've officiated many weddings. It is also on my recommended list.

For good, solid, old world Italian cuisine, this restaurant is hard to beat.

Frank Woods is one of the most experienced and respected Wedding Officiants in the Los Angeles area. From big weddings to small, whimsical to traditional, he works closely with each couple to insure they get the wedding ceremony they want.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF STUDIO CITY
Studio City earned its name in the 1920s when Mack Sennett moved his studios to a property near Colfax Avenue and Ventura Boulevard. His soundstages, Mack Sennett Studios, were later renamed Mascot Pictures Studios, Republic Pictures Studios, MTM Enterprises Studios and today is known as the CBS Radford Studios.
